AVM Group, a national provider of turnkey controlled environments, has selected Mount Pleasant for its new headquarters, representing a $5 million investment and the creation of 30 new jobs.

The company will locate on Wingo Way, where it will develop a 12,000-square-foot facility supporting design, engineering, and research and development for advanced controlled environment projects. The Mount Pleasant operation will also complement AVM’s existing manufacturing activities in Ohio.

Founded in 1983, AVM Group specializes in highly technical environments including cleanrooms, dry rooms, SCIFs, and advanced shielding systems. Its expansion into Mount Pleasant reflects continued growth in specialized, innovation-driven industries across the region.

Throughout the process, AVM Group worked closely with the Town of Mount Pleasant and regional partners to identify a site and shape a project that aligns with both operational needs and long-term community priorities. The project incorporates thoughtful site design, environmental sensitivity, and public-facing elements that contribute to the surrounding area, reinforcing the Town’s focus on high-quality, context-sensitive development.

Operations are expected to come online in 2027.Individuals interested in joining the AVM Group team should visit the company’s careers page or contact [email protected].

The project was supported by job development credits approved by the Coordinating Council for Economic Development, along with a $200,000 Set-Aside grant to assist with site preparation and construction. The Town of Mount Pleasant also provided economic development incentives to offset initial business license and development impact fee costs.
