Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie and Councilmember Mike Tinkey helped break ground for the new HCA Healthcare Freestanding Emergency Room on Long Point Road. This new healthcare facility will be located across from the Chick-fil-A at 653 Long Point Road.
The HCA Healthcare Freestanding Emergency Room will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. The facility will provide all of the services of a typical hospital emergency room. HCA Healthcare is investing over $11 million into Mount Pleasant to complete this freestanding emergency room, which is expected to create 200 medical-related jobs.
