Town of Mount Pleasant Launches Small Business Success Series

The Town of Mount Pleasant, in collaboration with Lowcountry Local First, is proud to announce the launch of the Small Business Success Series. This innovative workshop series aims to equip local entrepreneurs and small business owners with essential knowledge and practical tools to thrive in today’s competitive market.

The series kicks off on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Harbor Entrepreneur Center, located at 11 Ewall Street in Mount Pleasant. This venue has been selected for the inaugural event, with future locations to be announced.

The first workshop, titled “Sustainability in Action: Tools & Techniques for Greener Business Operations,” will address the critical balance between environmental responsibility and business profitability.

Economic Development Officer Matt brady stated, “We’re committed to fostering a vibrant, sustainable business community here in Town. This series demonstrates our dedication to supporting local entrepreneurs and ensuring their long-term success.”

The August 6 panel, organized by Mount Pleasant’s Economic Development team, will feature distinguished experts:

  • Jarrett Branham, President of Branham Group
  • Rick Crawford, President of Emerger Strategies
  • Leslie Skardon, CEO of Sustain SC
  • Trischia Khouri, CEO and Founder of Khouri Group

These industry leaders will share actionable strategies for implementing eco-friendly practices without compromising business growth.

The Small Business Success Series is a part of the Town’s economic development initiative—Mount Pleasant Made. The workshops are designed to address various crucial topics throughout the year, including marketing strategies, commercial lease navigation, and other vital aspects of business management. Each workshop will showcase subject-matter experts and successful entrepreneurs, offering attendees practical insights tailored to the Mount Pleasant business environment.
