Economic Development Incentive Grant
The Town of Mount Pleasant views business investment as a key component of managed growth. The Town created this grant to incentivize the location and business expansion in the town ultimately adding to the tax base. This also helps create clean, high-paying jobs all built within the natural environment of the town.
This grant is ideal for companies with the ability to relocate and are not, or are minimally dependent (less than 30% of their sales or income) on the town of Mount Pleasant or the Charleston Region.
Qualifying businesses can receive grants to partially or fully reimburse municipal impact fees, building permit fees, plan review fees, and business license taxes.
